Tether transactions have dropped sharply, with the last transaction occurring several hours ago.  The news was reported on Twitter as Binance’s hot wallet has been showing pages of transactions that have been stuck in an “unconfirmed” status for over 8 hours (!). Along with Binance, also Huobi, Bitfinex and Poloniex all stopped getting confirmed transactions after 06:31:51 UTC.

Omni layer (the protocol from which Tether tokens are issued) posted updates on the situation:

For it now it looks that the situation is set to be resolved, according to Omni. However, any major issue regarding Tether transactions is always a cause for concern.

Update: Resolved

After working on it the whole night, Omni has finally resolved the issue: “Data verification and resync is now complete. Omni Explorer and all tx information is synced up to current block height. Omniwallet address balances are also current and users can safely resume normal wallet operations”, as they have Twitted.
