Crypto Market Watch: Bitcoin Awaits Next Move, Zclassic Plunges 66% Following Bittrex Delisting

The cryptocurrency market is in a mixed state today with most of the top ten cryptos in red, while a few are recording gains of no more than 2% on the day. 

Bitcoin had been trading around $12,400 but dropped as low as $11,500 during the early morning hours. Although the coin’s price moved back to $11,800 in the last hour, it is now trading around $11,600, a decline of approximately 1%.

Both Ethereum and XRP are also in the red, with the leading altcoins recording losses of 0.9% and 0.1% respectively.

IMF Expects Central Banks to Issue Digital Currencies. A recent survey conducted by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has revealed that several countries are considering creating Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) as an alternative to cash in order to reduce banking costs.

Most Significant Winners and Losers

MMOCoin (181.09%) 

This altcoin has the most significant share of the profits in the crypto market today. MMO saw gains of more than 180% against the dollar and is trading at $0.00568. The coin traded as high as $0.009 on Sunday but returned to the $0.002 region for the rest of this week. 

Qredit (139.98%) 

The Qredit market has been somewhat unstable throughout the past month, with its price seeing massive periodic surges. The cryptocurrency started the day with a price hovering around $0.001 but is now trading at $0.002651, or a 139.98% gain on the day. 

Zclassic (-66.25%) 

Zclassic, which is a fork of Zcash, has suffered the most significant crash in the crypto market today. ZCL is posting losses of over 60% against the dollar, now trading at $0.465 with a daily volume of $648,510. Zclassic’s price decline comes after Bittrex, the leading crypto exchange, announced the delisting of the ZCL coin from both Bittrex.com and Bittrex international.
