Non-fungible tokens on Bitcoin’s network are now a thing, and they quickly become a heavily debated topic within the BTC community.

With arguments for and against, what seems to be the biggest sale so far is already a fact.

  • The project in question is called Ordinal Punks, and the NFT is Punk #94.

  • The sale happened 10 hours ago and was for a whopping 9.5 BTC, currently worth around $215,000.
  • There’s an ongoing debate between Bitcoin community members. Some of them argue that NFTs are a waste of block space, while others are of the opinion that they drive additional usage, nodes, and by extension – security to the network.
