BitGo will not be acquiring Prime Trust.

The popular cryptocurrency custodian BitGo will not be acquiring Prime Trust, according to the latest company announcement.

  • BitGo took it to Twitter to reveal that it will discontinue the acquisition of Prime Trust.

After considerable effort and work to find a path forward with Prime Trust, BitGo has made the hard decision to terminate the acquisition of Prime Trust. This decision was not made lightly and BitGo remains committed to our mission to deliver trust in digital assets.

  • The decision comes a couple of weeks after BitGo first said it will be buying the company.
  • Prime Trust is a provider of financial infrastructure for fintech and digital asset firms.
